Let it Snow!!!!!!

Mon Dec 21, 2009, 7:10 AM
Delaware, for once, got snow in December! An entire STORM actually before Christmas! 18 amazing inchess of snow drifts and beautiful snow! My poor kitty was floundering in it yesterday--so cute! Not to him, of course, but still really adorable. :)

Thanksgiving

Wed Nov 25, 2009, 12:40 PM
'Tis the gift to be simple
'Tis the gift to be free
'Tis the gift to come down
Where we ought to be and
When we find ourselves in the
Place just right,
'Twill be in the valley of love and delight.

When true simplicity is gained
To bow and to bend we will
Not be ashamed to turn,
Turn will be our delight
Till turning, turning we'll come 'round right.

We often forget that Thanksgiving isn't just about the food, the football, and cooking all day and stress about people coming over for dinner. It's about family and truly being thankful for what we have. Americans have so much, and yet we often forget it as Christmas gets closer and we start thinking about what we don't have.

I am thankful that I can live in a country and state what I believe.
I am thankful that I have family that love and support me in whatever my endevours are.
I am thankful for friends that love me and keep me sane when I'm ready to shoot someone.
I am thankful for the TV I have to watch my favorite shows.
I am thankful for the books that I read to escape my daily pressures.
I am thankful for the musical talent I have been given so that I may enrich others with my playing.
I am thankful for the clohes, shoes, jewlery, make-up, contacts, glasses, and other accessories that I own to use and wear.
I am thankful for my laptop to go to fun places like deviantart to play on and appreciate other's artwork.
I am thankful for my flute to pursue my degree in music education.
I am thankful for my professors who care about my development as a student, teacher, and musician.

I could go on and on. What are you thankful for?

What's on my mind.....

Fri Nov 13, 2009, 9:03 AM
The flute has been on my mind. And that has been pretty much it. I am in Wind Symphony, orchestra, flute ensemble, an ensemble for a senior recital, and music for next semester's Wind Ensemble; oh, plus my flute lessons and my preparation for my senior recital next semester. So that is pretty much it. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving, even though my break will be filled with homework and practicing. It will be slightly more restful than being at school!

The Lady has not been forgotten! I just need time to write!

End of a Season...

Tue Oct 6, 2009, 8:39 AM
So my finaly marching band season is coming to an end. I only have 2 games or something like that. Tour was this weekend (easiest tour EVER! with only 2 gigs; I've done tours with 4 gigs on Saturday and then Allentown the next day). The Ram Band did pretty well in the Allentown Collegiate Marching Band Festival. Not as good as we could have, but good all the same. Had work last night until 10:30l bought myself some new jeans. Got back at 11, and then stayed up WAY past my bedtime to do homework and now I'm dead on my feet. Tomorrow I conduct Wind Symphony. Should be interesting. Life in general is good. :)

Long Time No See

Mon Sep 21, 2009, 12:51 PM
So long time since I've updated, but honestly there hasn't been much going on except me having a bad attitude and some really crappy weeks.

Due to some enthusiastic friends here on deviantart, The Lady will be put up as deviations. *sigh* Oh well. This will be a more relaxed posting than When Water Meets Fire was. Not that anyone would do this, but I am a musician first and a writter second.....maybe third. It is something that I do for me; for fun. I just don't have the time between homework and practicing. I am going to have my senior recital next semester, and I have to get all of the music for it and that takes first priority. :)

I'm glad you all understand. :D

I promise to update more frequently!
