“We need help,” Deborah said as a lightning bolt came very close to them.  “I cannot keep this up for much longer!”
“I will take care of that,” Davis said calmly.  His eyes turned white as the lightning began to bounce of an invisible shield.  He then began to sing his song.
“It is not enough!” Edward shouted.  The wind on top of the mountain was beginning to grow to strong.  All four of them struggled to keep their hold in the ground.
“Hold on!” Deborah yelled as she caused the rock to form casings over their feet.  “That will buy us some time!”
“James,” Felicity said.  “The water fire mix!”
James nodded as he and Felicity sent a burst of water and fire from their joined hands at the Witch.  She looked slightly surprised at this, but continued with her bursts of lightning and wind.  Rain as well began to fall now, which was not blocked by Davis, who still continued to sing.  Edward and Felicity gave up on the pelting against the shield as Edward combined his air to the water and fire spiral.
“Deborah!  Do you think you can add to this?” James asked.
“I do not know!” she cried.  “I never learned to do that!”
“Take his hand!” Felicity screamed some of the rock broke around her feet.  Deborah and James reached around Davis to take the other’s hand and the earth burst forth from Deborah.  All four elements attacked the Witch now.  Davis stopped his song.  As he stopped his song, Nana appeared at James’s shoulder, though he did not notice.
“You are more powerful than I first gave you credit for,” she said through gritted teeth.  Her shield became a black spiral that tried to push towards the four of them, but the four of them pushed back just as hard.  Beech appeared behind Deborah.  “You will never defeat me!” she laughed.  “I can hold out for much longer than you!”  Thomas began to swirl around Edward’s head, though he did not notice.
“She is right,” Felicity yelled.  “She can last much longer than we can.  What should we do?”
“Put all of your emotions into me,” Davis said.
“What?” Felicity screeched.
trussst hhhim, little one, Madeline said into Felicity’s ear.
“Madeline!” Felicity yelled.  “How—”
stop asking questions, Aaron thundered as he appeared on James’s right.
just do as he says, Trumt grunted out as he materialized on Deborah’s left.
do it now! Jasper yelled as he blew his air behind Edward.
you know whhhat to do, Mer said as he hovered above Felicity.  Edward, Deborah, Felicity, and James looked in every direction as all of the elementals that they knew began to appear.  Jeremiah, Abigail, Jemimah, Joshua, Tempest, Lilly, Gara, Arilla, Matthew, Delores, Charlotte, and hundreds upon thousands of others that they did not know appearing behind the human that represented them; they looked at each other in shock.
“Use the cords,” Davis said urgently.
“Of course!” Felicity laughed as she used the diamond with the cross and poured every emotion she had into it.  The other three immediately felt what Felicity did and did it as well.  Davis held in his hands all of their emotions.  It was a white shining ball that continued to grow bigger as all of them poured into Davis everything they had ever felt.  Hate.  Helplessnes.  Anger.  Compassion.  Pity.  Happiness.  Joy.  Awe.  Sadness.  Depression.  Silliness.  Mercy.  Frustration.  Love.
“It cannot be!” the Witch screeched.
Davis raised the ball high above his head and it began to rise even father until it reached the sky.  When it reached the sky, it broke into millions of tiny pieces and began to rain down on the elementals.  When each elemental was touched by the light, they began to glow, and with each elemental that began to glow, the four element spiral grew closer and closer to the Witch.
“No!” she screeched as the spiral finally reached her.
for crimes against all elementals, Nana said as she moved to the head of where the four humans were, is death.
And with that pass of judgment all elemental rushed the Black Witch.  The four humans and Waef clung to each other in the center of the wave of elementals rushing the Witch.  When the last elemental went by, there was no trace of the Witch.
“Did we win?” Edward asked.  Everyone let go of each other’s hands and took a step back.
“The elementals have their emotions back,” Davis explained.  “They took care of the Witch in their own way.  It is over.”
“Ok, now I have some questions,” Deborah said as she stepped towards Felicity.  “How did you know what to do to put your emotions into Davis?
Felicity laughed.  “That was the symbol I touched to alert Air-Of-Earth that I was, well willing is not the correct word, but that a carrier for his child was there.  Waefs need humans to reproduce, and one reason why is so they have emotions.  I had to touch the center dot.  That was the symbol that we created earlier.  It stood to reason that in order to put my emotions into Davis, I should toss them into the center where Davis was.  We did after all make a diamond with Davis in the middle.”
“Mother, you are so smart,” Davis said with a bright smile.
“You make me sick,” Edward said with a sigh and a shake of his head.  Felicity bumped him with her side.  “You are just too smart for me sometimes.”
“What was your other question, Aunt Deborah?”
“How did the elementals know to come?”
“Davis’s song,” James said.  “Waefs were originally the leaders for the elementals and their court system in case they were having disputes among themselves.  That stopped a long time ago when the Waefs thought themselves above that.  But they had a song in their own language that would call every elemental alive to come to whatever Waef was singing it at the time.”
“You make me sick too,” Edward complained.  “How did you know that?”
“I learned it at the Wizard Academy.  I just never thought that class on ancient justice systems would ever come in handy,” James laughed.
“I am with Edward on this one,” Deborah sighed.  “You make me sick.  And Davis, how did you know when to come?”
“Let me guess!” Edward said as he raised his hand enthusiastically.  “When the Black Witch said your name, you could feel it and you knew.”
“See Uncle Edward!  You are smart too,” Davis said as he hugged him.
“All right the four of you, answer this question.  What are we to do with Marie?”
They all stared at Deborah blankly.  “You all forgot about her.  Typical.  Only the earth wizards know how to multi task.”
“Excuse me?” Felicity asked.
“Well, water can do that yes, however, your powers certainly slipped on this one.”  Deborah motioned them to follow her as she led them to where Marie still lay on the floor, bleeding from her flight at the Black Witch’s hand.  “I made sure that she did not get up and try to interfere with the fight.  Not that she could have done a whole lot without magic, but she still could have made things difficult.”
“My smart woman,” Edward said proudly as he smacked a kiss on her cheek.  “She does raise a very good point.  What shall we do with this…person?”
“She is not a threat anymore with magic,” Felicity said reluctantly.
“But she could make our lives miserable,” James sighed.
really.  must elementals tell you everything?  Jeremiah appeared in a puff of smoke on top of a nearby rock with Lilly on his back.
“What do you mean by that?” Edward asked with mock indignation.  “Did you not just hear us figure out the previous three questions?”
I am sorry, Prince Edward, but this question is mostly directed at Prince James, Princess Felicity, and Davis, Jeremiah amended.
The three of them looked blankly at him.
what did Jeremiah give you at your last meeting, Lilly sighed.
Lilly, why did you give them a hint?
because I did not want to wait all night to have you to myself again.
“The two of you are mates,” Felicity said with a sly look at James.  “How sweet.  Oh!  You mean the memory vial!”
“Of course!” James said with a roll of his eyes.
finally, Lilly said with an eye roll of her own.  we will see you later.
goodbye for now, Jeremiah said as they disappeared.
James took Felicity’s bag from her and rummaged in it.  “Got it.”  He looked at the rest of them.  “Should all of her memories be erased, or should only some of them be erased?”
“As much as I would love for her to forget me completely, let us be kind and erase only her memories having to do with nothing magic and her heritage,” Edward sighed.  “She did not ask to be born this way.”
“But she certainly could have chosen differently,” Deborah said sternly.  “James chose not to be like his father because he knew it was wrong.  Marie could have done the same.”
“She is right.  Perhaps with no knowledge of who she is, she will make better choices,” Felicity sighed.  “James?”
“I agree.”  James stepped towards Marie and held the vial over her body.  “Marie, as this vial drops, you are to forget everything about nothing magic that you have ever heard, seen, or learned, and will forget everything about your family heritage that has to do with the Black Witch.”  With that said, James threw the vial down at Marie.  Halfway before it reached the ground, it exploded and settled like dust over all of Marie’s body.  When James was sure the spell was finished, he knelt down and healed Marie.  “Davis?”
“Yes father?”
“Would you please take Marie to her home?”
“Yes father.”  Davis took Marie’s hand and disappeared with her instantly.
“So that was it.  It is all over,” Edward said as he hugged his sister.
“It does not seem that way certainly,” Felicity said as she hugged him back.  “And now we need to decide about wedding plans.  Wedding plans!  Deborah!  You and I need to discuss how everything is going to look!”
“We have so much to do!” Deborah gasped.  Felicity flew out of Edward’s arms and rushed to Deborah.  The two of them began talking so fast that neither Edward or James could keep up.
“It is times like this that all I have to do is show up for the wedding ceremony,” Edward said as his eyes followed who was talking next.
“That was all I had to do,” James shrugged.  “Now what do we do?”
“Well, Deborah and I need to get back to Laulao, and you and Felicity should probably go to Maldaol first,” Edward suggested.  “You need to see what state the country is in.”
“The country is fine,” Davis said as he reappeared.
“What do you mean the country is fine?” James asked.  Even Felicity and Deborah stopped long enough to hear Davis’s answer.
“While you were traveling here, everyone else was going to Maldaol.  Uncle Rainford marched right into the palace and began ordering everyone around.”  Davis paused a moment for a chuckle.  “It was really funny.  The king—do I have to call him grandfather?”
“No,” James and Felicity said together.
“Good.  He tried to stop Uncle Rainford, but Uncle Rainford said that this country needed a wizard, and he was going bring this country back up to its original glory with the wizards.  He started bringing back wizards and making sure all of the jobs were distributed evenly and fairly.  Uncle Rainford told the king that you are not allowed to come back as the head wizard because he was afraid that you would mess up all of his work until it was finished.”
James’s mouth dropped open.  “You mean, I do not have to return to Maldaol?”
“Not for the next several years,” Davis smiled.  “You and Aunt Felicity have at least ten years in Laulao, Uncle Rainford said.  By that time, he said that the king will have probably choked on a grape and your brothers dead from a disease.  What kind of disease father?”
“Later,” Felicity said.  “Continue, please.”
“Well, he actually has not thought that far ahead yet, but he says we can worry about that later.  But we can stay in Laulao!”
“That is wonderful!” Felicity said as she hugged Davis and then turned to give James a long kiss.
“Mother,” Davis groaned.
“I am allowed to do that,” she said as she tapped his nose.  “Now, my most brilliant and favorite son—”
“I am your only son.”
“I see you have picked up on your Uncle Edward’s habits,” Felicity said as she gave a look to Edward.
“I am so proud,” Edward said as he wiped a fake tear from his eye.
“Davis, transport us to Laulao.  There is a wedding to plan, announcements to make, and a celebration party to create!” Felicity said.  “There will be a holiday every year on this day from now on to celebrate the Black Witch’s death!”
“Excellent plan, dear sister!” Edward said as everyone joined hands.
“Hold on tight!” Davis sang.  And they were whisked away to Laulao.
